ANOTHER RARE DREAM 8-24-23

Rarely dream

Mostly scary

Teetering on the cusp

Of a nightmare

But this morning

Had a “dream” dream

Dressed in a Renaissance gown

Speaking only in rhyme

And in Middle English

Shades of Chaucer and

LOL, how pretentious!

I woke up remembering

One of the couplets:

“Perhaps I’d care

For this luscious pear

That dangleth from its limb…”

My laughter woke me

And I felt so happy

What a crazy but fun dream

For a wannabe poet…
